Build and style forms
Collect exactly the answers your master document needs.
Input and design elements
Open Forms, create or select a form, then use Elements. Input elements collect answers; design elements add headings, text, images or spacing. Reuse a question when the answer should have the same source. Click a field to edit it and click blank canvas space to deselect.
Question settings
Set the label, help text, type and whether an answer is required. Use choice options for repeatable conditional rules. Optional internal tags help you distinguish similarly named questions. See document connections shows where an answer is used.
Pages and layout
Use Pages or Manage pages to rename, reorder, duplicate and delete pages. When deleting a page, choose whether to move its content to another page or remove it from the form. Place short related questions beside each other, then test at a narrow screen width.
Design
Use Design to adjust colours, font, text size, width, corners, background and progress display. Check that text remains readable against its background. Form settings are independent of your document’s printed layout.
Test without sending
You can try inputs directly in the editor. Test form follows the form’s questions and conditions. Clear test answers to start again, then open Preview to check the document those answers produce. File inputs in preview do not submit real attachments.
More than one form
Create separate forms for different people or stages, such as team project details and client legal details. During preparation, choose who completes each form. Keep dependencies in order so a condition can use answers already collected.
